Bikepark: Verbier
Samen met MTBVerbier.com zijn we op pad gegaan in Zwitserland. Als opwarmertje het Bikepark Verbier bezocht voor de Backcountry gingen rijden. Beetje wennen!! De planken waren nat en de rotsen waar je op zou stuiteren erg groot :D Gelukkig konden we later de flow terug vinden! Thanks for the guiding mtbverbier.com!
De Commencal Meta V4.2 reedt werkelijk als een malle door het bikepark de 160mm achter en 170 Fox36 voor zijn echt perfect voor dit werk.

Sart Tilman it is! Net onder Luik en net naast Chaudfontaine ligt genoeg uitdaging voor een dagje spelen!
Wat kan je verwachten? Steile sh*t! Voor de rest moet je het gewoon ervaren 😀 Ook dit keer worden er weer foto’s gemaakt en er zal ook gefilmd worden. Hell Yeah!
Tech level is wederom hoog, beetje buitenland ervaring is een echte must.

Tijdens een trip richting IJsland rijdt hij met een dikke Landrover Defender naar wat vette spots. De trails die hij daar killed zijn echt technisch, hij laat het eruit zien alsof het niks is!! Wat een skills echt niet normaal. Deze meneer Jeff Kendal-Weed popt zijn mountainbike met alle gemak van de wereld alle kanten op! Pure inspiratie ten top, straks maar direct weer mijn Insurgent uit de garage halen en volle bak oefenen.
Misschien ook maar gelijk IJsland als Travel locatie weer wat hoger op de wish-list zetten….

As mountain bikers it is our nature to explore and get lost in the woods in search of the next prime stretch of singletrack. Riding in Whitefish and the surrounding Flathead Forrest of Montana, there are opportunities abound for us to fulfill this inner desire. Whitefish Mountain is the hub of riding activity with purpose built park jumps and rugged natural, mountain lines linking together a lift-serve experience that rivals any park in the country. We spent many an afternoon testing the limits of our trail bikes there. Venturing outside of town limits and into the fringes of this sparsely populated state, miles of trails were revealed. The high ridge-lines of the Alpine Trail network provide distant views of glaciers and what felt like endless turns. Further west, strewn between the lakes region, we found untracked dirt veiled by seasons of pine needle decay. After a week exploring the region, we began to question ourselves and ponder relocation to this alcove of like-minded riders, world-class trails, and the plethora of local breweries was an additional draw.

The Free Radicals // Two Weeks on Vancouver Island
Last September, with one fully functional bike and seven functional wrists between the four of us, we boarded the ferry to Vancouver Island with a plan that was somewhere between vague and nonexistent. This is a brief glimpse into the aimless and carefree two weeks that followed.
The Free Radicals are four guys who are just trying to ride some bikes. We live in vans, work seasonal jobs and eschew the comforts and constraints of traditional lives in order to ride our bikes as much as humanly possible. Racing is the impetus for our travels, but we live for the in-betweens: the hidden trails, local swimming holes and general mischief encountered on the road while traveling between races.
For 2017, we're embarking on the Free Candy Tour, an adventure that will take us all over Oceania and North America, racing a schedule of Trans-style enduro events. Along the way, we will be documenting all of the uncensored and unglamorous experiences that come with our exploits and releasing eight episodes, one per month throughout our racing season.
