Les Hautes-Rivières

Menig Enduro fanaat in Nederland en België weet het: Les Hautes-Rivieres is een must visit in je Mountainbike leven. Deze regio valt net over de grens met België wat betekend: In Frankrijk dus. Vanaf Utrecht is het circa 3,5 uur rijden, wat dit het zo waard maakt? Veel technische enduro trails met een (relatief) makkelijke uphill klim. De uphill klim is een verharde weg maar aangezien de trails best lang zijn qua afdaling is ook de uphill best lang 😉 De omgeving zelf is niet direct heel pittoresk te noemen. Qua hotels/hostels is het dus pakken wat beschikbaar is…

Naast Les Hautes-Rivières ligt ook nog het Bikepark Tournavaux. Ook hier kan je lekker je lol op qua uitdagende enduro trails. Beide gebieden zijn in een dag te linken met elkaar op de fiets. Leuker is natuurlijk om dit over 2 dagen uit te smeren en alle trails te rijden. Qua navigatie raden wij Trail-Forks aan, alle opties en aanrij routes zijn goed terug te vinden in deze regio.

Les Hautes-Rivières

Many an Enduro fanatic in the Netherlands and Belgium knows: Les Hautes-Rivieres is a must visit in your Mountain Bike life. This region falls just across the border with Belgium which means: In France, that is. From Utrecht it is about 3.5 hours’ drive, what makes it so worth it? Lots of technical enduro trails with a (relatively) easy uphill climb. The uphill climb is a paved road but since the trails are pretty long in terms of descent, the uphill is also pretty long 😉 The area itself cannot immediately be called very picturesque. So in terms of hotels/hostels, it’s up to what’s available….

Next to Les Hautes-Rivières is the Bike Park Tournavaux. Here you can also have your fun in terms of challenging enduro trails. Both areas can be linked in a day by bike. More fun is of course to spread this out over 2 days and ride all trails. In terms of navigation, we recommend Trail-Forks, all options and approach routes are easy to find in this region.
