In Pila there is no need for snow to savor the thrill of speed!!
In the summer the mountain bike downhill tracks are permanently open! With this very important realization, Pila follows the example of France and Switzerland, where mountain bike downhill tracks are present in all major winter sports resorts.
There are a dozen tracks that are part of the Bike stadium, one of which is the freeride track Pila Aosta which, with the two tracks in front, form the beautiful route of the “Desarpa Bike”: a total of 15 km and 2,200 altimeters! You start at 2705 meters and finish 15 km later in Aosta ..
The freeride tracks are accessible to anyone with a bit of experience in descending, the difficulty levels are well indicated, and there are chicken ways with the more difficult parts! However, the Downhill tracks require good athletic and technical training!
De stad Aosta
The cool thing about Bikepark Pila is that you can roll directly to one of the many terraces of Aosta. It is a beautiful Italian city with all what you can expect from it. Because of Roman history you will still find plenty of old remnants such as from the forum (no not one where you can piss at you;)) Amphitheater and city walls.
Het bikepark en de trails van Pila
Many races were contested on the route designed by former world champion Corrado Herin along the “Du Bois” ski slope after the 1997 edition of the Italian championships and the 2005 World Cup.
The freeride trails mainly run through the natural landscape and are alternated with easy and difficult trails. Follow the signs with the difficulty level of your choice
You can find freeride tracks in the BikeStadium, as well as the beautiful Pila – Aosta track and the Desarpa bike path.
The white Trail network of Pila is huge and meets everyone’s level, with routes ranging from 2300 to 600 m. Height difference and that with the beautiful view!
The variety of routes meets both the pleasure of quiet pedaling (read XC) and the expectations of those who are looking for technical and demanding tracks.
The colors help you choose the difficulty level:
blue = easy
red = average difficult
black = difficult
